The Business Person of the Year Award is open to entrants who have worked in a business for a minimum of 5 years, usually business owners and/or directors, who have brought financial and / or non-financial benefits to their organisation through their efforts. - The judges will be looking for evidence of: - Developed and implemented strategic business plans - Implemented plans that have achieved growth and improved profitability - Actively taken steps to exceed customer expectations - Raised your organisation's profile

This category is open to any organisation, irrespective of size or sector that can demonstrate commercial success and strategies for growth whilst achieving excellence in looking after its customers. The organisation must have objectives for high quality customer service and clear methods of monitoring and evaluating standards. Judges will be looking for: - A clear focus on their customers needs and evidence of customer satisfaction. - Strong focus on listening and acting on customers feedback while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. - Submissions should contain examples of how the organisation are consistently doing their best for customers and seeking to continuously improve their performance. - Customer focused staff development & training.

Awarded to the organisation achieving the most stand-out accomplishment in digital product or service design, data science or technology innovation. This category is open to pure tech and internet businesses, video games developers, media production, digital communications and marketing businesses, computing, telecoms and IT service providers, and businesses of any kind who can demonstrate how digital, data and technology have enabled them to change or grow their business, or improve people’s lives. Judging criteria will include: - Demonstrable end-user impact or commercial success of the product or service - Evidence of understanding users and meeting their needs - Innovative use of data, technology or the internet to do something new or differently - A creative, digital organisational culture and ethos

This award recognises the business that has shown pre-eminent commitment to the development and welfare of its people, by encouraging communication, creativity and proactivity throughout the organisation. The winner will be able to show appreciation, genuine commitment to, and trust in, its people leading to success in business, as well as a fulfilling and stimulating working environment. An award for a business that has great staff relations, good staff retention, with excellent training and who cares for their employees. The best companies to work for! This award will be presented to the company that has made a significant contribution to the community in which it operates and demonstrates a real commitment to corporate social responsibility A wide range of initiatives are eligible and these can include one or more of the following: The creation of new jobs. Company policies that allow employees time off to perform community duties such as work in the magistrate court, work in education, with children, for example on reading schemes, helping and assisting in schools. Sub contracting work into the local community. Helping promote the Greater Peterborough area through business action. Offering business support to local charitable causes. Evidence should be produced to show how your company engages in the community in both a business, educational and social sense.
